Dr. Brian Wilkerson is a Kansas native, born and raised in Overland Park. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Kansas (1982) and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry (1986).
In 1989, Dr. Wilkerson became a partner in this practice with retired founder Dr. Jerry Nossaman. Through his professional memberships in the American Dental Association and the Kansas Dental Association, Dr. Wilkerson keeps abreast of the latest developments in the field of dentistry.
He enjoys golfing with friends and his wife Joni, Kansas University athletics, cooking (eating!) and visiting his children; Tyler in Kansas City, Jon in Seattle, Brian Jr. in Minneapolis, Alissa and her husband Tony in Minneapolis and Mallory in San Francisco.
Dr. Wilkerson has competed in numerous marathons across the country and is considering running one more. He resides in Lawrence with his wife, Joni, and their Teacup Maltese puppy, Lilly.
Michelle Saunders, DDS
Dr. Michelle Saunders' exposure to the field of dentistry began at a very young age when she and her family ventured overseas to pursue her parents' dream to become missionaries.
Her father, a 1965 graduate of the University of Nebraska's College of Dentistry, practiced in Karachi, Pakistan, at the Karachi Seventh-day Adventist Hospital for six years. As a young girl, Dr. Saunders traveled with her father's dental team to remote villages to serve those who were in great need of dental care. She and her family also spent many years in Okinawa, Japan, and Hong Kong. Dr. Saunders attended high school in Singapore and returned to the United States in 1984 to attend college.
In 1992 Dr. Saunders received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Dentistry. She joined Dr. Wilkerson and Dr. Nossaman in 1997 and became a partner with Dr. Wilkerson and Dr. Anderson in 2001.
Dr. Saunders is a member of the American Dental Association and the Kansas Dental Association. She resides in Lawrence, Kansas and has five children, Dakota, Savannah, Bailey, Hueston and Macy.
Justin Anderson, DDS
Dr. Justin Anderson was born in Topeka, Kansas, and raised in Los Angeles, California. He returned to Kansas to attend the University of Kansas and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1995. He then attended Northwestern University where he received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 1999. Dr. Anderson joined this practice immediately following his graduation from Dental School.
An active participant in the Lawrence community, Dr. Anderson has served or currently serves on the Lawrence Memorial Hospital Endowment Board, the Bert Nash Mental Health Center Board, the Great American Bank Board, the Bill Self Boy Scout Golf Classic Board, VanGo Arts, Inc. and the Corpus Christi Catholic School Council. His professional affiliations include memberships in the American Dental Association, the Kansas Dental Association, and the Academy of Sports Dentistry.
Dr. Anderson enjoys traveling, watching Kansas University athletics, and coaching athletic teams and acting as Boy Scout leader for his sons’ Troop. He resides in Lawrence with his wife, Jean, and their two boys, Jack and Joshua.
Lesley R. Nellor, DDS
Dr. Nellor grew up in Baldwin City, Kansas, and received her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from MidAmerican Nazarene University and her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. She joined our practice June, 2013, as a part-time associate as she completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency program at UMKC.
Dr. Nellor joined the practice full time in July 2014 and is a member of the American Dental Association and Kansas Dental Association. She currently is involved with the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce and United Way of Lawrence along with volunteering at her church.
Dr. Nellor resides in Lawrence with her husband Jake, and their two English Bulldogs, Dierks and Charlie.
Thaer Daifallah, DDS
Dr. Daifallah cares for our patients on Saturdays when surgical extractions (such as Wisdom Teeth) or other oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures are diagnosed. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where he went on to complete residency in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery program. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine and Dentistry involved in clinical and didactic instruction of oral and maxillofacial surgery residents and students. Dr. Daifallah concurrently is completing his Fellowship in Facial Cosmetic Surgery at Kansas City Surgical Arts Center.
His skill and dedication to his profession have awarded him with multiple honors and awards, and his clinical excellence has distinguished him among his peers. Dr. Daifallah has a high interest for and is currently participating in clinical research. He has lectured nationally and internationally and has co-authored book chapters on topics related to craniofacial surgery. Dr. Daifallah is board eligible and preparing to obtain the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery certification.
Dr. Daifallah has a broad scope of practice in oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures and is dedicated to providing excellent care to his patients. He is fluent in Arabic. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and travelling.
