About the Doctors
Brian C. Wilkerson, DDS
Dr. Brian Wilkerson is a Kansas native, born and raised in Overland Park. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Kansas and his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri -- Kansas City School of Dentistry. He has been in private practice since 1986. In 1989, Dr. Wilkerson became a partner in this practice with Dr. Jerry Nossaman who is now retired but still an integral member of the team.
Through his professional memberships in the American Dental Association and the Kansas Dental Association, Dr. Wilkerson keeps abreast of the latest developments in the field of dentistry. He enjoys golf, Kansas University athletics, cooking and is an avid runner. Dr. Wilkerson has competed in numerous marathons across the country. He resides in Lawrence with his wife, Joni, and their Teacup Maltese puppy, Lilly. They have 5 children; Tyler, Jon, Brian, Jr., Alissa and Mallory.
Michelle Saunders, DDS
Dr. Michelle Saunders' exposure to the field of dentistry began at a very young age when she and her family ventured overseas to pursue her parents' dream to become missionaries. Her father, a 1965 graduate of the University of Nebraska's College of Dentistry, practiced in Karachi, Pakistan, at the Karachi Seventh-day Adventist Hospital for six years. As a young girl, Dr. Saunders traveled with her father's dental team to remote villages to serve those who were in great need of dental care. She and her family also spent many years in Okinawa, Japan, and Hong Kong, China, and two years in Moscow, Russia. Dr. Saunders attended high school in Singapore and returned to the United States in 1984 to attend college.
In 1992 Dr. Saunders received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri -- Kansas City School of Dentistry. Her dental career began in Raytown, Missouri, followed by four years in Bonner Springs, Kansas. She has been with this practice since January of 1997.
Dr. Saunders is a member of the American Dental Association and the Kansas Dental Association. She resides in Lawrence, Kansas and has five children, Dakota, Savannah, Bailey, Hueston and Macy.
Justin R. Anderson, DDS
Dr. Justin Anderson was born in Topeka, Kansas, and raised in Los Angeles, California. He returned to Kansas to attend the University of Kansas and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1995. He then attended Northwestern University where he received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 1999. Dr. Anderson joined this practice immediately following his graduation from Dental School.
An active participant in the Lawrence community, Dr. Anderson serves on the Lawrence Memorial Hospital Endowment Board, the Bert Nash Mental Health Center Board, the Lawrence Bank Board, the Bill Self Boy Scout Golf Classic Board and the Corpus Christi Catholic School Council. His professional affiliations include memberships in the American Dental Association, the Kansas Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and the Academy of Sports Dentistry.
Dr. Anderson enjoys traveling, watching Kansas University athletics, and coaching athletic teams and acting as cub scout leader for his sons. He resides in Lawrence with his wife, Jean, and their two boys, Jack and Joshua.
