The Dentists in Lawrence opened in 1970 and has been in its current location since 1973. 

Our office is located at 831 Vermont Street in Lawrence, KS, next door to Freedom’s Frontier National Heritage Area, eXplore Lawrence and the Carnegie Building which houses the Convention and Visitor’s Bureau. 

We are a short drive from the University of Kansas and Downtown Lawrence.

Meet the Doctors

 

Michelle Saunders, DDS 

Dr. Michelle Saunders' exposure to the field of dentistry began at a young age when she and her family ventured overseas to pursue her parents' dream to become missionaries. 

Her father, a 1965 graduate of the University of Nebraska's College of Dentistry, practiced in Karachi, Pakistan, at the Karachi Seventh-day Adventist Hospital for six years. As a young girl, Dr. Saunders traveled with her father's dental team to remote villages to serve those who were in great need of dental care. She and her family also spent many years in Okinawa, Japan, and Hong Kong. Dr. Saunders attended high school in Singapore and returned to the United States in 1984 to attend college.

In 1992, Dr. Saunders received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. She joined Dr. Wilkerson and Dr. Nossaman in 1997 and became a partner with Dr. Wilkerson and Dr. Anderson in 2001. 

Dr. Saunders is a member of the American Dental Association and the Kansas Dental Association.

She lives in Lawrence, Kansas and has five children, Dakota, Savannah, Bailey, Hueston, and Macy.

 

 

Justin Anderson, DDS

Dr. Justin Anderson was born in Topeka, Kansas, and raised in Los Angeles, California. He returned to Kansas to attend the University of Kansas and graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1995. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Northwestern University Dental School. 

An active participant in the Lawrence community, Dr. Anderson has been involved with many organizations including as a member of the Lawrence Memorial Hospital Endowment Board, the Bert Nash Mental Health Center Board, the Great American Bank Board, the Bill Self Boy Scout Golf Classic Board, VanGo Arts, Inc., and the Corpus Christi Catholic School Council. His professional affiliations include memberships in the American Dental Association, the Kansas Dental Association, and the Academy of Sports Dentistry. 

Dr. Anderson enjoys traveling, watching Kansas University athletics, and coaching athletic teams and acting as Boy Scout leader for his sons’ Troop. He lives in Lawrence with his wife, Jean, and their two boys, Jack and Joshua.

 

 

Lesley R. Nellor, DDS

Dr. Nellor grew up in Baldwin City, Kansas, and received her undergraduate degree in business administration from MidAmerican Nazarene University and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. She completed her Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency through the University of Missouri-Kansas City. 

Dr. Nellor is a member of the American Dental Association and the Kansas Dental Association. She currently is involved with the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce, the United Way of Lawrence, and enjoys volunteering at her church.

Dr. Nellor resides in Lawrence with her husband Jake, their daughter Lauren, and their two English Bulldogs, Dierks and Charlie. 

 

 
Dr. Thaer Daifallah

Thaer Daifallah, DDS

Dr. Daifallah received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He currently serves as an assistant professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine and Dentistry and is involved in the clinical and academic instruction of oral and maxillofacial surgery residents and students. Dr. Daifallah is working towards Fellowship in Facial Cosmetic Surgery at Kansas City Surgical Arts Center.

His skill and dedication to his profession have awarded him with multiple honors and awards, and his clinical excellence has distinguished him among his peers. Dr. Daifallah has a high interest in clinical research. He has lectured internationally and has co-authored book chapters on topics related to craniofacial surgery. Dr. Daifallah is board eligible and is preparing to become board-certified through the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Daifallah is fluent in Arabic and enjoys spending time with his family and traveling.
